“Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you,” - this is the exact wording of the New Testament according to the gospel of Matthew (6:33) in relation to the meaning earthly affairs before the soul is presented to the Lord already in the Kingdom of Heaven.

When the promised “new heavens and a new earth” arrives, in which righteousness dwells (2 Pet. 3:33), “subtle fields” will be revealed to science: “the invisible world will become visible” and “God will be all in all” (1 Cor. 15:28), then the Far Away Kingdom will appear.

As for the Transfiguration predicted for Russia for a short time - 12-15 years - into the “Kingdom of Truth - the Power of the White Tsar”, as a forerunner kingdom - an example of an otherwise possible path of development of “this world”, here the image of the Transfiguration is the fabulous Swan Princess ( Russia is a woman's soul).

The result of the Transfiguration of Russia should be the righteous “Kingdom of David”, psalms about which have been sung for 3000 years.

Humane socialism as a Russian civilizational project

Exactly one hundred years ago, on February 20, old style (March 5, new style), 1907, the 2nd State Duma of the Russian Empire opened in St. Petersburg. The New Duma was even more left-wing in composition than its predecessor, which was dispersed due to the too radical attitude of its members.

Two-fifths of the deputies of the 2nd Duma belonged to socialist parties, despite the qualifications electoral law. What lessons of history are contained for us in the events of a hundred years ago associated with the 2nd Duma? This is, firstly, the popularity of the ideas of socialism in Russia and the complete futility of attempts to morally justify capitalism from the point of view of Russian tradition.

The party of constitutional democrats (cadets), which advocated a Western, liberal path of development, successfully competed in the elections to the 1st Duma, received less than one-fifth of the seats in the 2nd Duma. The failure of the Cadets in 1907 was, as it were, a harbinger of their complete political collapse ten years later, when, largely thanks to their efforts, the power that saved the Russian bourgeoisie from the “fury of the people” collapsed. And a harbinger of the historical collapse of Russian capitalism, which they defended.

Capitalism in Russia as a civilizational project suffered a complete failure at the beginning of the last century. This failure, however, was predicted from the very first steps of its implementation by representatives of various public camps - from populist revolutionaries to security guards. In the first decade of the twentieth century, the futility of this project became even clearer. The political awakening of the Russian people during the revolution of 1905 occurred not under the liberal slogans of “human rights” and representative democracy, but under the banners of the struggle for land and freedom. The leading role in this struggle belonged to the socialists.

In the Duma, which met a hundred years ago, socialist deputies united into a “left bloc”, the majority of which belonged to representatives of the Trudovik and People’s Socialists parties (soon united into one party). They defended a peaceful, bloodless transition to socialism. Their socialist project was very similar to the liberal one in terms of much greater attention to individual rights and freedoms. Unlike the more radical social parties, they did not reject the values of patriotism.

It was a center-left party that enjoyed great popularity among the Russian people at that time. The repressive policies of the tsarist bureaucracy prevented it from developing into a more powerful force. This same short-sighted policy contributed to the radicalization of the sentiments of the workers and peasant masses. As a result, that real socialism, the path to victory of which opened in 1917, turned out to be very far from the humane project of the Trudoviks. But this does not mean that the deep essence of this project is hopelessly outdated.

Another history lesson associated with the 2nd State Duma is the fate of the man who dissolved this Duma under a fictitious pretext. This is the Chairman of the Council of Ministers P.A. Stolypin. He was the last truly major and extraordinary statesman of the Russian Empire, which was fading beyond the political horizon. And his activities tragically expose the historical futility of his attempts to save the sinking ship of the modernized monarchy.

Let's start with the fact that if, for the sake of the success of a political course, the government violates the law it has given itself, then most likely there is no Truth in this course itself. Seeing that the 2nd State Duma would not support the reforms that Stolypin considered necessary to make, that it was much more radical, the prime minister did not hesitate to openly provoke. He demanded that the Duma cancel immunity guarantees for 65 (!) of its members from the Social Democratic faction under the pretext that they were allegedly preparing an armed uprising. It was an ultimatum. The Duma refused and was dissolved. Following this, the electoral law was changed to an even more restrictive and unfair one.

What kind of transformations did Stolypin want to make? In history, he appears, first of all, as a man who sought to break the centuries-old peasant community and introduce capitalism in the agricultural sector. This was the second “great turning point” in the backbone of the Russian countryside (the first was the robbery of the peasantry after the abolition of serfdom), which in many ways anticipated the Bolshevik “great turning point”, although its goal was exactly the opposite.

The social organism does not tolerate violence against itself. The establishment of kulak (as we would now say - farmers) private farms on the divided former communal lands failed. In many cases, the liquidation of a community turned out to be a purely formal act. The events of 1917 showed how quickly the Russian peasantry spontaneously returned to their usual communal land use. The “Prussian path” of the development of capitalism in the Russian village turned out to be a chimera of the same category as the dreams of the liberals of that time about Russian parliamentarism.

Stolypin’s phrase became popular: “Give Russia twenty years of internal and external peace, and you won’t recognize it!” Well, she certainly didn’t see any external calm. The strengthening of Russia would not be viewed with indifference abroad. Russia's involvement in the impending world war was almost inevitable.

But even if we assume this incredible possibility, imagine the Russia of that time miraculously fenced off from the rest of the world, what results would Stolypin’s transformations within the country have led to? Stolypin wanted to create a class of strong rural owners. But would they become the support of the throne? Hardly. The rural bourgeoisie would rather join the urban bourgeoisie in its liberal aspirations. But what to do with the resulting landless proletariat? Stolypin wanted to send him to the cities, factories and factories, away from the landowners' estates. By saving the property of the landowners, Stolypin created a class of revolutionaries, that is, in the future he doomed the same landowner class, and with it the monarchy, to more certain death.

Did Stolypin himself understand this? As an intelligent person, most likely yes. And, it seems, with his reforms he was simply trying to buy time to strengthen the police apparatus of the empire so that it could successfully resist the inevitable new revolution. What then? I think that Stolypin did not think far ahead. He acted as a crisis management manager. He managed to cope with the crisis of 1906-07 at the very least. Then the supreme power simply no longer needed him. If he had not been assassinated in September 1911, his political career was already in decline, and rivals were specifically targeting his place. But even if we assume Stolypin as prime minister in the summer of 1914, on the eve of the World War, would he have been able to prevent Russia from joining it? Hardly. Rather, he, like almost all senior statesmen of that time, would have considered the war a good opportunity to divert the people's attention from internal problems. Moreover, being more aware than anyone else of the futility of his reforms, he would have advocated war more than anyone else.

Stolypin, by the will of fate, found himself in a hopeless situation. It is impossible not to carry out reforms - otherwise there will be a revolution. But any major reform led to revolution or was itself forced to have a revolutionary character. Stolypin wanted to save what was already doomed. This, by the way, was understood by K.P. a quarter of a century earlier. Pobedonostsev (who died, by the way, during the work of the 2nd Duma).

But the Russian people are people seeking truth and cannot live without truth... Where will they look for it when they return to capitalism? Again in socialism? Again, therefore, as in the children's fairy tale "Start over"... You can "It is certain that this will not happen in Russia. The Russian people will accept the truth of communism and reject its lies. They will continue to fight exploitation and slavery in the name of human freedom, but no longer for communist purposes and not by communist means."

Humane socialism, based on human freedom, on the “truth” of the relationship between the individual, society and the state - this is clearly the emerging new civilizational project of Russia, which has a deep justification in its history and tradition.

Victory in the war of meanings at the level of values of peoples of non-Western civilizations, who are predicted to live in the “Kingdom of Truth” for a short period of time, 12 years, requires the right symbols. For the Symbol is that which connects, while the Devil is the one who separates.

Over time, the bitter truth was revealed: the instincts of the comfort of a well-fed body and interest with the “thirst for gold” suppressed the “beautiful impulses of the soul.” And the spirit of joy in life with “daily bread” (prosperity without excesses) dissolved in the devilish temptations of “ever more complete satisfaction of material needs.”

In the industrial society of labor and capital, ever more complete satisfaction of material needs still occurs through the instrument of extortion: by charging interest on loans.

But it is possible to conquer space and create a material base with a loan, and even very effectively (smartly), but it is impossible to correct systemic failures in customs and morals with the help of a loan. Turning back another round of development of our Fatherland, we will see that under Lenin-Stalin, the energy of the soul was given by the “dream of humanity” about a fair life for all. And for the nomenklatura, the most important document was not the criminal code (Soviet law), but party charter ! Here is the answer to the question: where did the success of building real socialism come from and where did the Spirit of Victory come from?
