After graduating from school, the future rapper went to earn money. As we already wrote above, he managed to work as a salesman, merchandiser, at a construction site, and at a sawmill.

Edward began to be interested in rap culture in his early years. He invested part of his money in rap: he recorded tracks and made videos. Home, study, city yards, home. This is the daily routine of most provincial teenagers. Eduard Vygranovsky did not avoid this, and until the age of 14 he regularly devoted all his free time to the street, where he quickly learned all the delights of an uncontrolled life. The musician is in no hurry to call these years happy, there is a lot of aimlessness, hopelessness, his mother works day and night to survive, his brothers are completely left to their own devices, the future is vague. But it was at this time that the musician’s first lyrics began to form in his head, as a protest against all the gray that surrounds him.

From Edos to Scrooge - chasing a dream

A new hobby required money; a bad musician is one who does not care about the life of his works. You need to make records, create videos, improve your style. Edos would not have even thought of asking his mother; he was from a working-class family. So I immediately went to work myself. He was 14 then, and he didn’t shy away from any kind of work; he would have had enough money to fulfill his dream. Scrooge has part-time jobs as a laborer, a car washer, a salesman, a builder, and a sawmill. The geography of earnings is also wide - trips to earn money in Ukrainian, Russian, Polish cities.

At the same time, the guy studied. It was difficult to combine physical work, creative work and the street, which replaced everyday life, from which the artist did not leave almost until he was 18 years old. I had to change two schools so as not to be left without a certificate. But things were going well with sports, namely basketball. Thanks to this, the rapper was able to become a student at an Odessa university with a degree in design.

Creativity did not stop for a minute. New topics, new texts arose, there was so much material that Ed tirelessly participated in informal Ukrainian battles and showed himself excellently in freestyle. Rich experience and new ideas for songs were born after an extensive tour in the company of MC Zippo, where I had the opportunity to perform in front of rap fans in Siberia. There was only one drawback to the stormy days - the student’s plan could not withstand such a schedule, and I had to part with the institute 2 years after admission. Eduard was 21 years old, and there was very little time left before his breakthrough.

Project "Young Blood"

The Russian reality show “Young Blood” from the creators of the Black Star label was launched with the goal of finding new participants for the projects of the famous company. Preliminary casting of all applications identified 2,500 potential candidates, of whom 10 were to remain in the second round. Imagine the surprise of the workers working together with a young man from Ukraine somewhere in a Polish sawmill when it turned out that their Ukrainian hirer had been selected for the final round. It was 22-year-old Eduard Vygranovsky, who by that time had already taken a new nickname Scroodgee.

The young musician understood his chances well. In the tough Russian capital, which does not believe in tears, a simple rapper from the street will be able to win among candidates with a good rear only with the help of a miracle. But the desire for a goal was stronger than any arguments. Having taken all his savings, in the cold autumn of 2015 Skru went straight to Moscow to conquer the producers of Black Star in the last tour of Young Blood.

Subway, spiders and climbers

The future contestants of the music show were personally selected by the Blackstars, headed by Timati Yunusov. The criteria were strict, and therefore not 10, but 6 candidates received a pass. An extraordinary Riga singer who already had solid performance experience behind her, a self-aware Muscovite, a mature Belarusian, an active DJ from Kyrgyzstan, a girl with a guitar and a charismatic rap artist from Pervomaisk. This was the jury's choice. It was impossible not to choose Eduard among the others; the participant’s number attracted attention with its freshness, sincerity and brutality. By that time, our hero had already acquired his amazing tattoos, which today cover almost his entire body. To get a contract from Black Star, all that was left was to become the best of the 6.

The first task was a complete failure for everyone. The contestants had to go down to the subway and try to attract attention and rewards from hurrying passers-by by singing. Muscovites and guests ignored everyone except Klava Koki, who stood out with her guitar.

The second test was improvisation in a radio broadcast studio. The guys also handled this very doubtfully. The third task is to effectively pose for the album cover in just 5 frames. Skru was at his best here. His duet with a furry spider on his tattooed face hit the nail on the head, while others couldn't quite pull it together. The rapper looked good in the remaining competitions, but the candidate’s triumph was conquering the wall at the climbing wall - Vygranovsky simply flew up in a few seconds, thwarting the enthusiasm of his comrades and Timati’s prophetic words that this was a climb to Olympus.

The main battle was ahead - the final concert of the contestants. The Black Star members watched all the numbers right in the hall and shared their impressions out loud. The girls Klava Koka and Dana Sokolova performed well, and MC Scroodgee simply blew up the hall. The judges were completely delighted and victory, it would seem, was close. But when the winners were announced, it turned out that only Klava and Dana won the contracts, and the rest would have to move on on the path to their dreams. And that would have been the end of it, but the main inspirer of the label, the magnificent Timati, took the stage. The producer bluntly explained that the studio is primarily looking for worthy, extraordinary personalities, and he saw this among the male half of the contestants, and therefore “Black Star” will sign another contract. Life after victory

Today Scrooge is recognized as one of the brightest representatives of the Black Star label. He abandoned his studies and went to earn money in Poland, where he got a job at a sawmill. He continued to record tracks, post them on the Internet and send them to producers and friends. Music

In 2015, the Black Star Inc. conducted the casting of “Young Blood”. When Scrooge found out that his application was approved, he, without hesitation, quit his job at the sawmill and rushed to Moscow. Among the 2.5 thousand participants in the show, the young man stood out for his determination, directness, and style of presenting himself and his texts. The winners of the casting were and, but at the last stage of the competition he decided to conclude a contract with Scrooge.

The label takes care of all technical issues: a whole team of video makers, sound engineers and managers works for the artists. The artist's task remains creativity. The first professionally recorded track in Scrooge’s biography was released in early 2016. “Into Splinters” was made together with Timati and Sasha Chest. In the same year, the solo song “Scrooge - Smooth Road” and a video for it were released. In June, the mini-album “From Where I Am” was released with seven songs, three of which were later illustrated with video clips.
